This shows a pictures of the 240v plug, but it says nowhere in the listing what kind it is. I know it's a NEMA 14-50, and you might too...but if you don't, it's a NEMA 14-50.

This is my daughter's favorite color, so she has claimed it. She has a brand new Hyundai Kona EV. This is currently riding around in the back of it. The case it's in is actually pretty decent. It's not going to survive being run over by said Kona, but it should be fine as long as nothing that terrible happens.

This has no problem charging her Kona at 40A. It took something like 6 hours to fully charge her car that she allowed to basically die. It ran for the full 6 hours, didn't overheat, and had no issues whatsoever.

It is easy to do whatever you want with this, since it has two buttons. None of us care about the delay button though. The electric here is always the same price. Changing the amperage is as easy as pressing the big A.

There is a screen. It is tiny. It does have the info you need, but you might need your reading glasses.

I like this Shel Level 2 EV charger J1772 and NEMA 14-50, from the case to the charger is premium and well made charger. This charger reminds me of going to Shell gas stations back in the 70’s, and like the color scheme of this charger! The max output of 9.6 kilowatts if using the right outlet to output up to 40 amps at 240. This charger should work for most EV’s for overnight charging at home. The charger comes setup with a J1772 connector for the vehicle and the wall plug is NEMA 14-50 plug. You can get a adapter for both ends to suit your setup EV and wall plug. You can adjust the amps and the time on the charger head.

I tested this on a 2023 Tesla model Y, and used the J1772 adapter to the NACS and I have a NEMA 14-50 to a dryer plug 10-30P to 14-50R. I set my amps to around about 20% less as to not melt the wall plug and cause a fire. The tesla has a built-in amp setting, this charger also has a manual selection for the amount of amps to output and charge time

Overall 4.7 stars taking into consideration the products description, quality, features, value and cost of 249.99, and there was a discount that further brought the price down. I do recommend this product, and would buy again. Good job on this product Shell!
