Chevrolet Blazer RS

Its a super powerful model with a 3.6L V6 engine but with improved functionality thanks to the Advanced Twin-Clutch AWD system. Like the 3LT counterpart, it also delivers up to 4,500 lbs of towing power. Its aesthetics are also out of this world, with the trim sporting immaculate black exterior accents. The interior is also awesome looking; the car is a perfect blend of black and red color accents with hues set in a manner that they’re complementary to each other.  

Moreover, with this vehicle, you have the option of using the conventional 20-inch wheel or even installing the 21-inch if you’re looking for a thicker tire for added traction. You’ll also have the flagship RS signature grille and a gesture liftgate, ensuring you can outright load goods to the back of the car without having to open the car boot manually.  

Driving the RS has to feel like an RS, and Chevy has made this possible in this trim by having a heated steering wheel. It also roars like a real RS thanks to its Dual-outlet exhaust that’s perfectly crafted to add to the perfect look of the car’s exterior. Finally, if you love listening to music while driving, this has to be your car, as it comes with the incredible Bose Premium 8-speaker audio system. Also, enjoy ultimate comfort with Evotex seating and an EPA-est—324 miles with the RWD and 279 miles for the AWD. 

Chevrolet Blazer Premier

Like its name, the Premier is the apex of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV. Although everything about it matches the Chevy Blazer RS, it is the peak of sophistication, luxury, and class. Among the remarkable features of the Premier include the Premier signature grille. The wheels are also in a class above the rest; talk of Android machined-face aluminum wheels with 20 inches thickness, ensuring they’re not all about looks but also the functionality. Lastly, you can be sure to find Chrome accents running throughout the vehicle. 

2024 Chevy Blazer Range and Charging Time

The Chevy Blazer features an extensive EPA range of 324 miles, which can be achieved both on town and highway drives. It features driving modes such as Regen on Demand, which essentially utilizes the car’s kinetic energy during driving into power that can be transferred to the battery, thus enhancing its range. Further, it has a cabin preconditioning feature that ensures the preservation of battery power.  

Being an Ultium-powered UV, you can charge it either on a DC fast charger or Level 2 charging, and according to GM (the manufacturer of the battery system), a full charge of this Chevy can give you up to 400 miles of range. Its Ultium battery technology doesn’t curtail its speed, with a possible acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in a measly three seconds. This car doesn’t even waste your time during charging as 10 minutes of charge using the DC Fast Charging via a 190 kW onboard charger grants you a guaranteed range of 80 miles.  

Charging the SUV is not a problem, as there are thousands of charging points in the US and Canada where you can simply stop, plug it in, and within a few minutes, you’re ready to resume your journey. Hence, having this car is simply bliss, which is probably why Chevrolet decided to build it all-electric, knowing that it charges fast and where to charge it is not an issue.   

Chevy Blazer vs the Chevy Bolt EUV

So, how does this Chevy Blazer compare to the 2023 Bolt EUV in terms of range and charging time? First, the Bolt EUV utilizes a Lithium-ion battery system as opposed to the Blazer's superior Ultium battery. Also, production of the EUV ceased in 2023, and it was only available in Front-Wheel Drive mode. The EUV was an ‘inferior’ car to the Chevy in regards to power, with the former delivering a horsepower/kW of 200/150. It utilized the Battery Electric Vehicle 2 (BEV2) platform and was only available in two trims, the LT and the Premier.
