2024 Pickup Truck

Full-sized truck lovers highly revered Chevy’s 2024 Silverado 1500, which isn’t just by fluke; the truck ticked all the boxes that most people look into when shopping for such cars. First, this is a powerful car available in four engine options that include: 

• 7L TurboMax I-4  with a 310 hp power output and 430 lb-ft of torque
• 3L V8 with a 355 hp output  and 383 lb-ft of torque
• 2L V8 is designed for tasks that require extreme power, as evidenced by its 460 lb-ft torque rating and 420 horsepower output. 
• Finally, there’s the Duramax 3.0L turbo-diesel I-6 engine, which means one thing: extreme power. It’s rated at 305 hp and 495 lb-ft torque capacity. 

Secondly, the 2024 Silverado 1500 was made to handle all sorts of terrains, including off-road and snow, making it a super-utility vehicle for all your drives. The truck, therefore, makes it an ideal companion for daily drives thanks to its smoothness while driving and capacity to maneuver both city and highway environments. 

The combination of these factors makes the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado a decent truck; no wonder it is highly revered in the US. However, the 2025 version will blast sales charts because it is phenomenal and miles better than the famed 2024 Silverado. 

2025 Chevrolet Silverado Lineup

When shopping for a 2025 Chevy Silverado, you must get the cab and box type right; otherwise, it won’t serve its intended purpose. 

The Silverado is available in five cab sizes, including the Regular Cab Standard Bed found on common all-purpose pickup trucks. This one has a standard bed measuring 79.44 Inches in length. It can seat up to three passengers on the front, including the driver. This is arguably the lowest trim and thus features the lowest MSRP, starting from 38,795. 

Next, there’s the Regular Cab, Long Bed, designed to provide ample load space at the back. Therefore, it sports a relatively longer bed than the cab above type at 98.18 inches. However, being a regular cab, the sitting space is still for three people. 

Thirdly, the 2025 Chevy Silverado has a Double Cab, Standard Bed type, simply a typical double cab with a six-passenger capacity. Like the first Standard Bed, Regular Cab we covered, the bed for this model is 79.44 inches, which is quite enough space for a regular double cab. New Silverado 2025 Range and Performance

Performance

Regarding performance, few engines match the power of the 2025 Silverado, and you’re spoilt for choice on engine types, including the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel, which is built for ultimate power. Other engine options include 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, and the TurboMax. 

The Turbomax is a base engine model with an 8-speed automatic transmission, but it still ranks high among trucks of its kind, with 310hp and 430 lb.-ft of torque. This engine is the standard for common trims such as the WT, Custom, RST, LT, and the LT Trail Boss. 

Next is the 10-speed automatic transmission 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, which ranks higher than the Turbomax in horsepower at 355hp but has a lower torque capacity at 383 lb.-ft. This engine is standard on the High Country and the LTZ and is also available in trims like the Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, Crew Cab, and WT Double Cab. 

There’s also the 10-speed automatic transmission 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 with exquisite power at 420 horsepower and phenomenal torque capacity at 460 lb.-ft. It’s available on the RST (Crew Cab 4x4), LTZ (4x4), High Country (4x4) and the ZR2. 

Finally, there’s the Duramax 3.0L 
Turbo-Diesel, the king of power with an unmatchable torque of 495 lb.-ft. This 10-speed automatic transmission car is so powerful that its 2WD can tow 13,300 pounds, although it doesn’t rank as high as the rest in horsepower with an output of 305hp. 

Range

The Silverado is ideal if you’re keen on getting power without spending a lot of money on fuel. While all are relatively economical, we recommend the optional diesel engine, which gives you an mpg of 23 in the city and 33 on the highway. 

You may also opt for the rest, but they won’t help much, especially if you’re keen on saving. For instance, the 5.3-liter V-8, a four-wheel-drive, gives you 16mpg on the highway and 22mpg on the road. The 6.2-liter V-8 doesn’t fare any better with a 16/21 mpg in the city and highway, respectively. 

How about the battery? Part of the changes to the 2024 Silverado is the larger battery with an improved capacity, especially for the RST, which can do up to 400 miles on a full charge. Chevrolet doesn’t specify the capacity of its Silverado batteries, but it classifies them generally into three classes: Standard Range, Extended Range, and Maximum Range. 

For the Work Truck (WT), the EPA estimated range on a full battery is 422 miles for the extended-range version and 492 miles for the Maximum Range. The LT features a slightly lesser EPA estimated range for the Extended-Range battery at 408 miles, while for the RST, the value is even lower at 390 miles for the same battery type. 

2025 Chevrolet Silverado Pricing

The Silverado Work Truck (WT) is the cheapest trim with an MSRP of $37,000, while the 430 lb.-ft. Torque, TurboMax Custom trim is slightly expensive at $43,600. But if you want to own the powerful but appealing LT, you’ll require around $48,100. Other trims are priced as follows:

2025 Chevrolet Silverado Market Position

The 2025 Chevrolet is expected to be a huge seller in the US market owing to Chevy’s standing in the country. In 2022, Chevy’s parent company, General Motors, had a market share of 44%, and at the time, the Silverado version was arguably the company's fastest-growing vehicle.
